Marcos Maniacs

I have to ask if you are the Ron McLeod that was in the army and in San Antonio in 1969-70. I knew a person by that name then. I am the wife of a marcos maniac. diane

Yes, I still spend the winters in Sarasota.  I'm headed back up to Ontario at the moment, but I'm planning to be back in Sarasota at the end of October.

There have been some changes - I still have my Marcos Mantis, which is in my garage in Oakville, Ontario.  But last spring I acquired a 1970 Marcos Volvo 3 Liter, and last fall I drove it down to Sarasota.  So now I have Marcos in my Sarasota garage as well.

So, we must get together - it'll be quite something to have 2 Marcoses together in the same place in Florida!

I'll keep in touch.

Well . . . British Car Day is the largest British Car show in North America.  Last year they had over 1200 classic British cars on display.  It is held the 3rd Sunday in September every year.  The only trouble is, it is held in Oakville, Ontario, just west of Toronto.  It's a bit of a drive - 1485 miles from Sarasota to Oakville!

Where in Florida are you?  I ask because I am in Sarasota for the winter, and would love to see your car if you are close by.

Where is the 'BRITTISH CAR DAYS'? I live in Florida, and would like to bring my '70 Marcos. I am doing a frame off restore. Been on it  a year at 4 days a week. Will start assembly just after Christmas.Hope to test fly by the middle of Feb.
