Larry and others,
Take a look at eBay item #130233643760 (I know its
expired but you can still view it for a few more days). These are 15 x 7" eight
spoke minilite copies that aren't too bad looking, and they have the right lug
pattern at 3.75". I've tried calling a couple time to get the backspace
distance, but they don't seem to understand what that is. I have a pair of 15 x
8" Superperformance that look the same that fit well on my early steel -framed
car. I don't remember the backspace offhand, but its around 4". I am
rumming 215/50-15 tires which have the same rolling diameter as what I use on
the 13"s.
As far as tire sizes for the stock 13" Marcos
alloys, I use 205/60-13 which fills the fenderwell nicely and has as much width
as possible for the 5.5" rim. These tires are generally available
still from PepBoys (usually in stock near where I live), and I think TireRack
still lists them. They are the same rolling diameter as a 155/80-13, 175/70-13,
or 185/60-14 (and 215/50-15).
I could still have interest in a set of
"Marcos" 15" alloys depending on the price. Also consider 16" and 17" as options
too! There are lots of tire options available in these larger rim sizes. My
'03 Mini Cooper has Marcos-compatible rolling diameters with 17"
rims.

Hi all,I have inquired about 15" aluminum wheels that would reflect the original MARCOS cast wheels. I am wondering if there is any interested in this venture? I haven't been able to find any decent tyres for the 13" wheels and don't really like any of the wheel selections on the market. If there were enough people that would want sets of 5, I think the tooling could be amortized over the run and may be affordable. Just a thought.Larry3v5536
