A good UK-base resource for Crossflow axle and differential questions is the Technical Section of the Turbosport.co.uk website:
http://forums.turbosport.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=177
Search for "axle english atlas salisbury" or similar and you'll find much info and discussion. Hope that helps.
Best Regards,

Larry,
I counted the gear teeth on the ring and pinion and the ratio is 3.9/1. I guess this is the same ratio you are trying to replace. The parts include the ring and pinion, the pinion carrier and the spider gears with all pins and bearings.
I do not plan on using these parts on my Marcos 1600GT. If other Marcos owners are interrested or in need of these parts please contact me.

Do you have any idea what year Capri your axle is from? US models were offered from 1971 to 1975, and for 1976 to 1978, it was called a Capri ll (possibly RS in Europe?). I know the later ones used a 2.8 Cologne V6, and the earlier ones had a 1.6 four, or 2.6 V6. I don't know what rear axles were used, but assume the later ones would have the taller gears. With the wider rear axle, I assume you have flares at the rear of the wheel opening?-Donny----- Original Message -----From: Baufi-Fey@web. deSent: Tuesday, March 03, 2009 5:30 AMSubject: Re: [MarcosManiacs] Looking for partsIn UK you can buy the crown & pinion as well as different ratioŽs. My Marcos has a Ford Capri rear axle used in the Capris RS = wider than standard and 3.09 ratio. You find these rear axles from time to time in Ebay but normally without the Marcos brackets but these are easy to produce and weld to the rear axle. MHS offers as well the brackets. With the 3,09 ratio the stage II V8 has problems in 5th gear - as well fitted the LT77 from SDI with the long 5th gear - to run with full rpm, but it is great on the highways and you get a extrem low fuel consumption with nearly 9 ltr. /100 km cruising on the highway. By the way on long distance the engine is smooth and quiet. Made it in the last years four times to Le Mans in the Marcos = nearly 1.000 km to drive on the highways of Germany, Luxembourg & France. The Ford Capri rear axle was fitted as well by Marcos to the Volvo 3 ltr. engines and Ford Essex V6. Complete rear axle I had to pay 50 here in Germany plus transport & plus brackets and welding.CF MantulaVon: "Donny Lang"

Larry,To add to the information of what you are looking for;Salisbury 7HAThis axle is found in most (maybe all) Volvo B30 cars, and some Essix 3 liter cars.It is also used in Morgan +8, and some Reliant ScimitarsDoes anyone know of any other applications, or where to source the internal parts affordably?-Donny----- Original Message -----From: larry meadowsSent: Monday, March 02, 2009 6:10 PMSubject: [MarcosManiacs] Looking for partsGood day all,Is there anyone that has, or knows of, a Salisbury rear end with good crown and pinion gears that is for sale? I need the gears and spiders for my Marcos. The one I have, has badly rust pitted teeth and need to be replaced. I have a Ford (105E) rear that Donny Lang gave me to use while I am looking for replacememt gears. The ratio is 3.90:1, and that turns the engine a lot faster than I like for highway driving.Regards.Larry3V5536
