Re: [MarcosManiacs] Marcos at VIR

Marshall,
Even with the historic 3 to 1 ratio, what a great weekend for everybody! To see all the Marcos cars and two Marcos race cars was an event for me. Andy just did a fantastic job with his Gull wing. Pictures do not do it justice, great color choice by the way. Thank you Andy for bringing it to the VIR Gold Cup and re-introducing the Marcos race heritage.
Dave's 67 GT is unbelievable. The wood work for the interior and tunnel is master craftsman beautiful. Dave you should immediately assume that I have stolen your Marcos if you come home and your cars' color has changed from dark blue/black to grabber blue.
Larry, thank you, it was great to wear the Marcos shirts you made with the chassis number on the sleeve. Dave also provided each of us a black ball cap emblazoned with the Marcos emblem. Thank you for taking the time. As a group we all looked great. I believe we stopped foot traffic in the paddock when all the cars were arranged oldest to newest.
The paparazzi just went wild. I also believe that Mike has some morning after pictures.
Thanks to you all for bringing your Marcos to this event. Lets think about 2010 VIR GOLD CUP?

Just wanted to say it was great to see such a nice gathering of Marcos cars at the Gold Cup Vintage Races at VIR in Virginia this weekend. What a treat to see my first Marcos Gullwing in the paddock area along with a Marcos GT with a V8 out on the track.
Good job to Bob and everyone else for getting the cars there. The Marcoses outnumbered our TVRs 3-1. Not Bad!

Marshall
