Hello All;
   I'm doing the exhaust system on my Essex V6 from scratch. I need to know
if there is a standard exhaust system, or is it a mix and match system? The
new header pipes from Rory came uninstalled with the car (which require
seriously trimming the footwells for clearance) to replace the cracked
exhaust manifold, so it looks like this will be a custom job. What diamter
pipes, what kind of mufflers are common? More importantly, how is the system
attached to the chassis and about at what points, and how low should it hang
below the chassis? Also, since these header pipes are going to be much
closer to the footwells, what is the minimum safe clearance they should
have, and have any of you wrapped the header pipes in insulation to cut down
on the heat?
