Hi Larry,
as far as I know the most early Marcos did have the "Smith" heaterfan and the flap valve as well was produced and sold from "Smith". 3 Years ago it was no problem to buy it new for example from a company in UK called "Eurospares".
Hope this helps, if this will not work let me know and I will try here in Germany to find the flap valve. I probably have as well as spare because I changed the whole freshair system on my Marcos and installed instead of the flap valve a 12V bulge blower, who brings so much fresh air inside the car, that I had problems that the doors did open a bit the moment the fan works with full power.
