Its not surp-rising that some reshaping has to be done since every opening is slightly different. Ine was simply lengthening the flange very slightly in one corner so that the glass and gasket could fit snugly. When I priced out getting a custom built windshield versus ordering one from Rory, I was surprised at how reasonable I thought Rory’s price was – including shipping. Mind you, he was also sending lots of other parts. Don’t forget to order the pre-molded gasket and trim that locks it in place.

Not to be discouraging, but I have had 3 windscreens in the last 40 some years for my 1970 Marcos from the factory, and all have arrived safely however, I have had to reshape the opening to make each one fit the car. The three other cars I have restored all have different opening than mine and each other. There does not seem to be any consistancy with the fit.

Well, Arizona is actually close to Nevada.
Never heard of U.S made windscreens, wonder if they fit properly?

Curious on Windshields in the USA. Am I reading that right? A person in Florida can make glass windshields for a Marcos? I too need a windshield for my Marcos project. I will order two, from? just in case. What about shipping charges from the UK? It would be nice do to a group buy, problem would be to get them around the USA. I am in Southeastern Arizona. My project is finally moving along, at least the doors are starting to fit, and the latch assemblies appear to work. Sunroof is no more, "glassed in". I hope I can make an air conditioning system for the car.

So just how much IS a 1600 GT windscreen now?
I know that some Marcos have a heated screen option, $$$$
Seems odd that fitting is such an issue, the bodies were made from a mold and the glass should have also been consistent unless new molds were used each time?
Anyone ever compile a list of the correct woods and their placement for the wood chassis?
I need to repair mine and want to do it correctly.
Hopefully my winter project.
