Hi, Phil,
I am almost back to where I was in February, but it has taken much longer than I had expected.
Larry has been making good progress with the Luton Gullwing and I was there last week-end.
Larry is very knowledgeable and helpful which is why I was so keen for him to restore my car.
I have spare starters and generators if you should ever need them again. I think it is a good idea to buy any that you can find as they are getting scarce. Also I have found it difficult to buy new generator pulleys.
Was pleased to hear that you enjoyed driving your car.
My email address is working OK it is : john_sutton@btconnect.com please note the underscore.

Good Morning John, I trust your knee has healed enough to visit Larry Meadows, he has given
me invaluable help in getting the Marcos back on the road.
A Marcos update; I actually drove the car last Friday, Quite thrilling as the picture “says it all”
Yesterday:
I took the starter and generator to the rebuilding shop. I laid the starter on the countertop and the owner said “I just repaired one of those a month or so ago,
The guy called it his ‘Harry Potter’ car”. He didn’t know what it was.
I laid the generator down and he said: “I think I have one of those brand new” and he did $90.00 didn’t seem too bad. I’m still having the original rebuild
to go with the car when I sell it.
Small world,
Phil
John, does your old e-mail still work? I keep getting updates returned. john_sutton@btconnect.com'

Phil.
I was down in Wimauma with Larry Meadows last week-end. He is making fantastic progress with my Luton Gullwing. I now believe it is the prototype and should have chassis number MONO 1008. More about this anon.
I suggested that we try to make the Macon meeting!!!
Best wishes,
John

Thanks Larry, could not have done it without you.
I’ve been thinking about Macon since the 1st time you mentioned it.

I am proud of you, Phil,
Now, how about trying to motor down to Macon in October. We could show people that there realy are more than one Marcos in No. America.
Chris, (the orange one) is going to try to make it down from New Jersey.
Sure would be great to see three together at the same place.
Regards,
Larry

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to my fellow Marcos Maniacs!
If you've never seen these Marcos photos, there is a treasure trove of pictures at this internet site, "motorsnaps" :
I was very pleased to see a photo I'd never seen before of our Gullwing (chassis #M2006) on the racetrack this past summer. A pleasant surprise! It must be from an early qualifying session because the starting number has not been added yet: http://www.motorsna ps.com/v/ Cars+M/Marcos/ 1962++++Marcos+ Luton+Gullwing. jpg.html
My apologies if this subject has already been posted on our mailing list, it's possible I may have missed it.
Have a Happy New Year!
Best Regards,
Andy
