The article on rebuilding the Essex V6 spanned
three issues. Like most articles of this nature, their value is somewhat
dependent upon your level of expertise. I thought the article had several
helpful hints and offered up some areas to watch. Even if you only get one
good idea or hint from the articles it is probably worth the $21 (or so) for the
three issues. (A mistake will certainly cost you more than $21 in most cases) If
I had an Essex V6 I would definitely have the issues in my archive. Since I
have a heavily modified Volvo 4 cylinder in my Marcos, I sent two of the issues
that I still had to Jeff Caraway.

A while back, someone on this list mentioned that the January issue of
Practical Classics magazine was supposed to include a section on rebuilding
the Essex V6. Has anyone seen it and is it worthwhile? Was it just a
one-issue article or did it continue through other issues?
