RE: [MarcosManiacs] looking for rear brake cylinders

2002-04-23 by Spalding, Stephen (US - San Francisco)

Mark
On April 7 my family got big smiles watching your Marcos going through a coroner over to Half Moon bay! Thanks for being on the road. I think your car is running the same rear end as mine (if want to get together to check it out give me a call and we could schedule)! My rear brakes, come off or are the same as a 69-71 Ford Capri (a local parts store had them is stock, so I replaced the complete units). These parts are now a little harder to find but they are available. If you wish to upgrade, there are several location which will reline your shoes with different materials (since I had upgrade the front pads , I tried to match the rear to keep the car balanced, as it was from the factor only with more aggressive pads and shoes.
Thanks
Stephen Spalding

Subject: [MarcosManiacs] looking for rear brake cylinders

Hi gang,
the RH rear brake cylinder on my 71 hase sprung a leak and I am having a little trouble finding a new set .I contacted Dave Bean eng and they can sell me some that will give me more rear bias but I dont' realy want to go that way so, I am once again asking for some help. The drum is 9 inches , the shoes are 2.25 wide and the set up is self adjusting..
Yes spring hase sprung and I gotta get moving!!
