Marcos build files from Marcos Heritage

Marcos build files from Marcos Heritage

2002-07-12 by pverdeyen

I seem to remember a message in the dim and distant past about the
value of (and cost) the build files available from Marcos Heritage.
I too felt that £25 plus VAT was steep for a few papers but reasoned
that since I wanted to know as much as possible about my 34 year old
car it was a good place to start.
So far I have made contact with the previous owner (of 14 years) who
has already sent me every invoice, bill, piece of paper relating to
the car whilst in his ownership. No charge, just a request to see the
car when restored. Then last weekend the son of the original owner
called me to say that he had my letter sent to his now deceased
father and that they would be delighted to look out and send all
paperwork including photographs of the car when his father had it.
They were really pleased to know that the car was still about and
that it was in the hands of an appreciative new owner. Again no
charge, just a request to see the car once more.
So now I have accounted for 24 of the 24 years, using the build file
and my V5 registration document. The file is building up nicely. So
two things here...1) the build file cost is proving money well spent
and 2) there are some truly excellent people who have owned Marcos
cars over the years!!
