WEBASTO SUNROOF

WEBASTO SUNROOF

2003-06-17 by Michael Smith

Hello there,
Can any of the members who have the original factory fitted WEBASTO CLOTH SUNROOF on there
MARCOS tell me if the four fixing bolts on the rear section stick through the headlining. If so,do they sit along the rear
aluminium strip or just behind it on the headlining its self.
I don't know if my sunroof has been badly refitted at some point or if this is normal.
Any help would be great
Thanks ....Mick.

Hi Mick,
My Wooden 1600 is as you explain screw come through the head lining and not the alloy strip. I'm sure that this is original.
I have large stainless 'penny washers' to spread the load across the material.
Cheers,
Dave.

The screws go through the headliner and have a chrome
trim washer to protect the headliner. They are behind
the aluminum strip.

Thanks for the info guys,
I thought that my sunroof had been badly repaired at some stage but if your cars are the same
they must have fitted them in this manner from the factory.
Thanks again.
