Hi all,

My first contribution and I hope it will be of some use. I'm a designer
for Roush Technologies Ltd here in the UK, I am sure that any of you who
follow Nascar racing will be familiar with the name Roush. Last year
while desining a new wheel and tire package for one of our european
customers I came across a very usefull web site which has an interactive
wheel and tire size calculator built into it. It is very simple to use
and the only information you need to input is the tire specification and
wheel diameter i.e. 195/65SR14. Many differnt combinations can be input
at the the same time for comparison of results, very useful to anyone
concidering changing to a larger wheel diameter but wishing to keep the
rolling circumference as close to original as possible. Listed below are
the results this programme will give :-

1. sidewall height
2. radius
3. diameter
4. circumference
5. revolutions/mile
6. percentage difference

Have a go and see how easy it is.

My own car is 1600 GT chassis Nr. 5097 Reg Nr. SMX 138F as featured in
the brooklands profile book on marcos cars. It is currently sitting in
the garage suffering from a lack of my time to continue with its
restoration and has been modified in the distant past by persons unknown
from its original specification, engine change now 1600 X/Flow, gearbox
change and swap from left to right hand drive.

Good luck and it would be nice to hear from any owners of wooden cars
especially 1600's.....
