Mike ,Don,
Well my container of Marcos spares has finally arrived after many delays
and I shall be ready to ship parts next week.I will publish a list of what
is in inventory in the next few days along with prices.
The good news is I have windscreens in stock and can deliver to California
before Christmas as we have a transporter delivering and picking up cars.
However, I cannot match the prices you were quoted. Both Rory an I polled
all the suppliers including the one which has been supplying Chevron Carsfor
years (the Chevron B8 uses the same screen as the Marcos) and cannot come
close to the price you were given. One supplier quoted me a wholesale price
per screen for a bulk order MORE than the 513 you were given and when I
ordered a batch they came back and doubled the price. Our price is $810 ex
factory ( Jupiter) and includes landed cost duty paid. These are heated
screens as the are the only ones we can get but still carry only a small
premium over the unheated. Since we will be in California I can deliver for
$25 for a total of $835. So I can give you no advice on the alternative.
Let me know by the 12th if you would like to order one.
