Nice Pix

Nice Pix

2004-01-17 by Paul Weidner

Mike and all:
Thanks for the pix of my car on the message page, it's been a while
since I've even seen it.

The car went into the black hole in June (a good repair shop) with
clutch problems, the linkage needed repairing, then the clutch, then
the driveshaft needed to be replaced, the shifter is a Hurst item
and needed new parts etc, etc, etc. Finding the parts was the
biggest delay, but it also seemed that he put repairs off as well,
not real happy with that part...

It is now done, and while I'm happy with the repairs(as much as I
can be with snow on the ground and no way to test it) I am
flatbedding it to another shop next week for suspension work, one
that can get the next job done quicker.

I ordered both the active handling suspension and the anti-bump
steer from Rory at Heritage. That includes shipping suspension
parts to them for modification (see www.marcoscar.com) and of course
having all parts shipped here afterwards. I've been told that the
parts will be done & ready for delivery in three weeks, if so then
it will certainly be ready when winter is over in mid April.

I will keep everyone filled in on the suspension modifications and
what i think of them, I do have a digital camera so if anyone wants
pix, let me know.

Paul,
Hope you've seen the messages about Marcos Parts USA. A little late I know to help you but I just got a bunch of parts from Garry including a new rear windscreen (Perspex). It's going to save us a lot of shipping charges.
Hope you get it on the road soon.
