motor mounts etc.,

motor mounts etc.,

2005-02-04 by bennywhiz

Hello again, I am having difficulty finding engine mounts for my
1600 x-flow. Are they stock Cortina? and who would have them? I am
presently fitting a 5 speed into the Marcos, working my way through
the various problems as they appear, fabricating new mounts etc., Is
there a supplier of parts in North America?
   Regards, John...

Hi Again John,
Which 5 speed are you fitting? I may be able to save you some time
and money as I have also made that conversion.

I am fitting a type 9 gearbox. Main problems are it is cable
operated clutch and the starter is one the other side. I am doing
this on a wooden chassis, so I have very little room to fit the
bigger headers. I have mounted a pull clutch slave cylinder(Wilwood)
to save changing the clutch pedal set-up. I will enclose some photos
on the fitting so far. What problems did you come across? To top it
all off, I have just bought Marcos # 4003!
  John..
