What color?

What color?

2007-02-05 by Hampton Peterson

Maniacs,

Well, all the body work is done on 3M 5463 and the body is primed.
Now, the real decision needs to be made......what color? The original
color was "Opal Blue" but of all the possible colors that is one of my
least favorite (apologies to anyone with that color). I have been
thinking about some shade of silver, maybe the Titanium used on the
new Lotus Elise. The interior is going back to the original black
leather.
Suggestions? Comments?

Thanks,
Hampton

Check out the pix in the "photos" section. Might see something you like. Mine was originally Chrome Yellow but someone resprayed it blue. I get lots of comments on the color.
If it's going to be in shows and you hope to win some trophies, I would advise against a light color. Seems that most of the winners are darker colors or different shades of red. My $.02

RE: [Marcos Air Dam]

Don

If you ever remove the air dam from your car, I would have interest in using
it to make a mold and produce several copies. You might like to have a back
up, I would like two copies. Other members might also like a copy or two.

Hope all is well with your car, I've been getting out in this nice weather
and hitting some of the US #1 curves here in Mill Valley!

Thanks

---Don;
Count me in on a copy of your "air dam", Gary Diver has been
looking for one in the UK for me, I have seen a couple designs, but
yours seems to blend in the best with the nose, with out changing
the character of the car. Keep me posted what is happening with
this project.

Stephen and others-
There is a front spoiler offered on eBay UK. The item # is 290079762475. Check to see if this is an acceptable design and looks "right" on our cars.

Hi Everyone,
I have located 3 air dams built to original spec for all early and '81
plus cars. they are 120 pounds stg. each but I will negotiate the price if I
can get orders for two plus the one for Steve. More would lower the price
even more. I am aiming for a landed price of $250 to $300 depending on
shipping.

RE: [MarcosManiacs] Re: [Marcos Air Dam]

2007-02-21 by Bob Magnotti

Gary,

If the price delivered is between $250 and $300 then I
would like to be on the list for one. Of course less
would be better if more owners order one.

Also I am planning on attending the VIR Vintages races
in June, am sponsering the Motor Madness Sports &
Exotic Car Cruise IN for the Roanoke Valley in July,
and will be at Watkins Glenn in September for the
Vintage CanAm in September. I am hoping that I am not
the only Marcos on show at these events.

Bob

PS: Please let me know what the cost is for the door
molding/seals for my car and also one of the pointless
ignition modules to fit the Lucas distributor on my
1600.

Hi Everyone,
I have located 3 air dams built to original spec for all early and '81
plus cars. they are 120 pounds stg. each but I will negotiate the price if I

can get orders for two plus the one for Steve. More would lower the price
even more. I am aiming for a landed price of $250 to $300 depending on
shipping.
