Marcos in MotorSport magazine

2008-01-12 by bmwf650d

I just got my February issue of MotorSport and discovered it has a
four page article on Marcos history !
The featured car is a very original 69 3Ltr ford , it gets quite a
glowing review .
The brief history covers all the major events for those not already
familiar with the roller coaster story .

Hi Richard,

Its great to have coverage in Motorsport, but I had mixed feelings
about this article (great car of course). I liked the quote about
"teetering on the edge of vulgarity!", and the early history was well
covered, but it never mentioned the V8 engines and gave a feel that
all the later cars were the victim of people adding-on flared arches
etc. Yes, the car did get more curvy, but that was the way the makers
made it, not owners adding bits.

Also there was not a mention on the very recent rise and fall of the
Marcos TSO.

However, I am sure there are plenty more articles to come, the Marcos
is that sort of car - and next year is the 50th anniversary - and that
has to be a good opportunity to see more of our cars featured, and let
the world know what we have got !

You are right about the roller coaster, I wonder if the ride is
finally over?

Steve

Hi Steve
Regarding whether the ride is over, check out the Farbio GTS on page 31.
I think as this car is engineered and built by Chris Marsh it falls in
a direct blood line dont you think ?
