Hello fellow maniacs!,
I tried to send this through my hotmail account which I know downsizes the pictures automatically but it failed so I'll try it through yahoo and hope it works!!?. The pictures are of my mini marcos resto which I bought a long time ago and used for 1 year before the engine died and then I found untold horrors once I removed it - namely that the bulk head reinforcing plates had rusted out leaving a 'spongy' mounting for the front frame and other bad repairs from previously writing off a transit van when the last owner had just built the car and a bit of fire damage where the exhaust manifold y-piece had been fouling and set the car on fire - previously repaired with a hugh amount of filler and nothing else!. the car slowly evolved/was dismantled and plans/budgets grew so that now the car is prepared as a road car with weekend motorsport intentions.
The engine is a 1293cc unit with Richard Longman GT15 head with 1.5 roller rockers and a non scatter 296 Kent cam. There is a reground, cross drilled, wedged, nitrided and centre strapped crank and a few other bits and pieces like a s/c c/r 4 speed box with 1:1 JKD drop gears and a tran-x 4 pin diff. I have done almost all the work myself except for some of the engine machining, the bending of the pipe for the rollcage and the wiring

The car is still sat in the Uk whilst I am in Australia and I will return in the northern hemisphere summer to fit the glass and tidy a few things up before taking it to the marcos 50th at Prescott.

happy marcos motoring,
                                   Phil.

Thanks for posting the photos. No, they didn't get resized so I
suspect one or two people may not have been amused to get a 10MB
message! I'll put them on the MMOC web site shortly.

The best thing to do with photos is to put them on a free web site
like photobucket.com or on your yahoo! pictures area and just post the
URL.

I'm looking forward to seeing the car at Prscott. It's looking good!
