Not ugly but not a swan yet

Hi Maniacs, Today I have two new photos in my Mike Denman 's projects album. The first photo shows the area patches "sanded and the edges blended" into the surrounding fiberglass. A marginal amount of effort was spent in trying to level the panel. At this point the rear panel is a series of highs and lows, ripples etc. but not to worry. As I said in yesterdays post, I need to build up the warped areas and then level the whole panel. The second photo shows a fresh layer of fiberglass/resin covering some of the repaired areas but more importantly, building up the low areas on both sides. When this has cured, I will spend some time actually making the first pass on making the panel flat. It won't turn out flat on this try but I will get a real good idea of the areas that need additional work. The plan is to continue adding material and sanding (most of it off) until the panel is flat and then adding one last layer of fiberglass across the entire rear panel. Once the last layer is flat and smooth, I will start in on the prep for paint. Mike Denman Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079
