Todays version of yesterdays photo
2001-11-20 by Mike Denman
Hi Maniacs, Yet another new photo (not that it matters... they all look the same!)in the Mike Denman's projects in process album. Todays photo shows the rear end sanded down and it is very close to being "flat and true". If you look closely you can see several small spots where the resin is still glossy. These are low spots and need to be filled to make the rear panel flat. These spots are low by about .032" which is a huge improvement from the original .1875 or better that I started with originalyy. The plan is to fill these spots till the panel is absolutely flat and then apply one more layer of fiberglass. On the last layer I will use "peel ply" which is an useful technique to know if you are working with fiberglass. Mike Denman 1966 Marcos 1800 Chassis # 4079
