We're famous!

We're famous!

2002-01-09 by marcos18001966

Hi Maniacs,
Well, we're not really famous but we are at least mentioned in passing
in the latest issue(February - March) of British Car Magazine. I
quote from the article on page 10 titled San Juan Bautista... "The
show featured driven roadsters and even some not often seen cars
including an Austin Healey 100S, several prewar MGs and even three
Marcos". That's it. That is all they said about the 3 Marcos cars at
San Juan Bautista. However, Don Lattimer, Mark Petrinovich, and I will
gladly autograph your personal issues of British Car Magazine if you
like ;)
The next issue of British Car Magazine is actually going to have a
real article on these 3 Marcos cars plus the Triumph powered Marcos
owned by Stephen Spalding. So watch for that issue on your news
stands in the coming months.

Mike
I thought there was some talk about a CD of all the photos taken on
12/8/01. I don't know about Mark, Don or you but I would be glad to pay for
same. What do you think?

Hi Maniacs,
I haven't forgotten about the CD of the photo's taken during the photo
shoot. I'll ask Travis next week (he is out this week) about the
CD. I wouldn't be surprised if they want to wait to release the
photos until after the article appears. Both Gary and Travis said
that they would make a CD for anyone who wanted one (not for free
however) and I'm sure they will. Both Gary and Travis have gone
out of their way being nice to us. I, for one, really appreciate
the fact that they are doing the article and can't wait to see the
finished product. In return, we should support their effort and buy
their magazine when it comes out and not do anything that would
diminish their effort (like get the photo's early and post them on
the web site or on this venue...) I think it is reasonable to wait
untill after the magazine has been on sale for a month before we post
any pictures that were taken during that photo shoot. After all,
they took the photo's, they don't have to give us a copy, and they
make their living by selling the magazine for a profit, not making
CDs.
