Marcos Maniacs

Hi Maniacs,
Everyone should review the pictures that they have posted on this 
site. Since we have a limited amount of space we should remove those 
which are no longer needed. However, only the person who posted the 
picture can remove them. Some that I think could be removed include 
the ones that were posted to answer a specific question. Presently 
we have a picture of a screw and a rear brake shoe, for example. Are 
they still needed or could they be removed? We can also ask Jeff to 
collect, correctly title, and post some of the "technical" photos on 
the Marcos Maniac web site where we have more room.

Mike and all,

I removed the brake pic (85k) but left the pic of the screw.  The 
screw only takes up 14k.  We might want to limit the size of the 
pictures when we post them.  For example Mike the two shots from 
Davis are 645k and 653k in size.  That's 4% of our alloted space.  If 
we could resize our pics to 100k or less before posting them, we 
would have more room and they are still large enuf.

My two cents (or 2k?).

I already have most of those type of pictures on the Maniacs' site under
the Technical Photos section. In there you will find the pictures of the
brake shoes, screws, and much more. Have a look!

Hi Don,
Good point, the pictures I posted should have/could have been 
resized. I will have to figure out how to do that on this new 
computer (not that I really knew how to do the re-sizing on the old 
computer!) My plan when I posted the pictures was to leave them up 
for a week or so and then remove them entirely. There are plenty of 
pictures of my car on the internet and we really don't need two 
more. I always assume that the message and the accompaning pictures 
are only of monentary interest to most people. Even the 
more "technical" messages and pictures (like the long series about 
the fiberglass work on the rear end of my car) are of limited 
interest to most of the members. We put those pictures on the web 
site to save them for someone who in the future wanted to see what 
was involved with repairing fiberglass. The pictures I posted of 
Mark and I at Davis don't have the same level of usefullness.
