On the lenses there is a number (i.e. L551 )

Can someone give me that number? I have Lucas master catalogues for 1968/69 (and a couple of other earlier years), where I can look up the lenses, and probably cross reference to a make/model.

I think I did this once before for Paul Dransfield, and I seem to recall the lenses were for Hillman Hunter?

The number I saw on my lights is L728. (I think....)   ;-)

Where was the number located?  I found the L572 number on my amber 
turn lens which is the outside lens.

Hi Don,
I found the number in two places. It appears that mine are two separate
pieces. The outside turn signal lens is actually its own little square
unit that screws onto a larger rectangular unit which houses the
reflector and brake lens. The number appeared on both the square turn
lens and the rectangular brake lens assembly.

So yours read L572? I might have a real case of brain-fade on the number
then. (I knew I shouldn't have been drinking when I looked at them!)

Did you find the number in two places or just one? I do know that mine
had the number on both the small lens and the larger assembly.

L572 is the Lucas number I was looking for. It will be embossed somewhere on the lens and on the mounting plate/housing. I will see what I can find out. Not all the catalogues have application charts.
