Mellotronists

the description says, 

"I've recorded with the computer model version of this (GForce's MTRON) and
the difference in sound quality is HUGE...The real Mellotron trumps the
MTRON by far and has a huge advantage in audio bandwith (tube preamp!) over
the digitally modeled version"

would you agree to this? disagree? I would have thought that a 1:1 sample of
each note (as in MTron) can't be substantially worse than the original.
