well, on the other hand, it might have upped production to unheard
of levels, though i can't imagine putting lot of pride into building
something that you KNEW was going to be destroyed [though a chef can
do this every night many times, knowing where a meal will end up...]

it would have possibly created a HUGE market in spare parts, some of
which we could probably use these days...

but yeah - that would have been truly painful to watch...
