Subject: [Mellotronists] What range does the mellotron "pitch" control cover?

Here y'all,
being a sad mellotronless wretch,
I was instead tarting up some of the programs from the Mike
Pinder mellotron CD-ROM in my sampler this morning...

...and was wondering what to set the pitch-bend assignment
to, to 'authentically' re-create the effect of the
mellotron's pitch knob...

Can anyone tell me how many semitones up and down you
can 'pitch bend' a mellotron using its pitch knob?
(And was it different for different models?
The Pindertron CD has stuff from Mk II, M300, M400 and a
Chamberlin M-series...)

DAVID
