Mellotronists

Hi all,

I would sure love to know what string set John Medeski (of Medeski, 
Martin, & Wood) uses in his Tron.  His Tron is all over his records 
and live performances.  He has worked his Mellotron into his act more 
than anyone I know of.  No, he's not a Prog Rocker.

Listening to the sample sounds on the Streetly website is not quite 
like what I hear on records.  I don't have access to a Tron to figure 
out what I want.  I figure I'll be using the string sounds more than 
any of the other sounds, so that's really what I'm concentrating on.

Norm, please give me more of the "boring" details of the tape sets 
you are getting from Streetly.  The "slow strings" descripton you 
gave sounds good.  I'm thinking very seriously about getting a second 
tape set.
