RE: [Mellotronists] Re: Hammond T Organ on Ebay - Tony Banks

I think the ones with the grills are 114's or 116's. The one I got is all
cabinet wood just like a 122 except it's a couple inches smaller in the
"X-Y" dimensions and only about 29" high in the "Z" dimension. Powered by
the organ amp, lower styrofoam rotor only, 2-speed motor. One person can
easily carry it. Well ok not easily, but without injury at least. Says Model
120 on the label.

The L-100 story is really long - but I was a roadie for ELP in '92
("assistant Moog tech") and later in the tour I had to give up my personal
L-100 because the one on the tour was falling apart and mine was the only
one they could find on short notice.

Is the 120 the little one with no amp or horn, and a silver grill? If so,
that's what my L100-P's blessed with. Got an interesting 240v shock off its
fast/slow switch last year...

The last L-100 I had was sucked up by the '92 ELP tour and I never saw it
again. Oh well, to a good cause...
