Yes, this kind of puerile crap is irritating, but even despite the Patriot Act, we should all offer a moment of thanks to live in a country where the freedom to write that crap exists.

What on earth is the 'Patriot Act'? It sounds extremely scary and undemocratic.

p.s. While I have no problem with people writing crap (it never stopped Jeffrey 'Lord' Archer), I have a major problem with them sending it to me about 100 times a day. Seriously, spam needs to be legislated against before the 'Net grinds to a halt, which I hear could happen before the year's out.
