I have to put my 2\ufffd worth in here. In my humble opinion hardware sequencers are the only way to go. I have the 1st Sequential Circuits model 800 ever sold and combined with my ARP 2600 and a TR-808 I have been doing T-Dream style sequences for almost 25 years. Playing beats programming to me any time.
