Mellotronists

Anyone here versed in the proper care and feeding of Formica?? As you
know the Chamberlin M's have a lovely "hard finish formica walnut wood
grain" on the outside -- kind of like a candy coating that's only there
to keep the chocolate inside from getting out - Hey! That's why they
call those candies M&M's, huh??
 
BSF, The formica on the top of my M2 has obviously shrunk as the board
is exhibiting a rather unfortunate curve. It's the only one doing it as
all the other ones are either thicker boards or are always held in place
with screws. Is there any way to "relax" the formica, hydrate it or
something?
