Over the weekend we had a small gathering of MONEYPIT at Casa Korb in VT. Awesome weekend (even if we did get snowed/iced in and had to stay an extra day---awww, shucks (well, I didn't mind :-) )). ======================================================================= Hi Gang, That too was lots of "fun." Frank wished for snow and we got it ! Between 4-6 inches. Snowball fights, winter photos, and cleaning 540 feet of driveway (Thanks,KL!) . All part of the MONEYPIT experience. ======================================================================= A report with pictures is forthcoming, as usual---lots of good stuff. But what I wanted to give you a heads up on from a personal perspective is M400 #1037. Thanks to a package from the UK, #1037 now has an SMS2 and a new motor. A bit of soldering, and it spun right up! It sounds GREAT and is MUCH better than I had anticipated, given its original condition. Jerry Korb helped with the adjustment (he got up at 6AM and wandered to the basement in his pajamas and slippers (and thankfully I missed that part :-) ), put in a decent set of tapes, and got the machine soundin' great---thanks, man!). Another one rescued, folks! ...kl... M400 #805 - feeling a case of sibling rivalry M400 #1037 - Hello, world! I'm baaaaa-aaaaaack!!! ====================================================================== Good thing I was alone in the heated basement at 6AM. Wasn't a pretty sight . Me, not the 15 feet of linear Tron . #1037 was dialed spot-on almost immed. and then was host to some Tang. Dream tunes complete with orig. LP's of "Aqua" and "Ypsilon In Malaysian Pale" sitting atop. And almost adjacent was the newly restored MK-II/134 Pindertron with the Classic-7 CD's of Moody Blues sitting atop. This was #134's first official unveiling, and #1037 with the other four Trons made for a perfect weekend ! More info soon on KL's forthcoming Webpage . Have a great week ahead, gang ! Cheers, Jerry Korb (10 Trons to-date on my Mellotronic Resume )
