Mellotronists

I'm pretty sure he never did (which surprised me-- his counterpart, Capt.
Beefheart used one - totally dry flutes and 3 violins- on "Doc At The Radar
Station"). I have about 20 of his albums (most from the 60's and 70's) and
have yet to hear one.  Lots of Organs (farfisas, hammonds), Electric Pianos,
Acoustic Pianos, and later on, synthesizers.  

I just saw the Baby Snakes DVD last month and one of the two keyboardists
has this huge modular synthesizer in his keyboard set.  Have no idea what it
was though.  Not a moog from what I can tell.  Anybody know?
