RE: Tom Brislin... Keys player for YES and Camel

2004-05-09 by lsf5275@aol.com

Tom Brislin was over today to record my Tron for the upcoming Spiraling CD.
You may recall that Tom filled in on the YES Symphonic Tour and also for Camel
at NEARfest last year and for the East Coast leg of their "Farewell" tour. I
had a chance to listen to the prior Spiraling CD today as well, which is
available at: www.spiraling.net. Trust me, this a "must have" for Tron fans. Tons of
tron, although most of it is sampled from the Pinder CDROM.

For the next CD, Tom couldn't settle for samples. We spent all afternoon in
"Basement Studio" recording 400SM #1562 for the new CD. There is a ton of
String Section, Mark II Strings, Russian Choir, Ian MacDonald Flutes and Boy's
Choir. It was truly awesome! My Tron has a brand spanking new motor from Streetly
and it is freaking amazing!!!

Some of you may remember 400SM #1562 as the Tron used by Anna Holmgren of
Anglagard at last year's NEARfest, for which I prepared three Trons. She was
playing Mark II Strings, Mark II Brass and 8 Choir. Some of you will again see
this Tron as one of two I will provide for the Strawbs at NEARfest this year. It
is sounding better than ever!

I want to thank Rob and Chad (NEARfest) for the connections they have given
me. Without them my dream of "more Tron for everyone" wouldn't have come this
far. If it weren't for them I would not have these opportunities.

Please check out Tom's web site and listen to the free samples.

Frank
