Mellotronists

Radio Shack makes a couple units. You turn it on very
much away from the heads, move the unit towards the
heads, move across all the heads. Now, do not turn the
unit off near the heads, you will re-magnatize.
Instead while the unit is still turned on and after
the demagnatizing of the heads, move the De-magnatizer
slowly away from the heads and turn it off. Magnatized
heads can cause alot of noise and perminently damage
your tapes.
