as previously mentioned, i have been asked to conduct a workshop on the mellotron by chuck van zyl, organizer of the "gatherings" concert series [the RMI show here in philly was part of that series]. this will be, mostly, an introduction to these machines for the curious, the ignorant, and whoever else is willing to part with some cash in order to learn a little about these things. so... i would like to create some reference materials for the audience. rather than ask each person individually what of their paraphernalia is available for this, i will ask this group as a whole: is ther any particular material on your collective websites that you would rather i did NOT make use of. i have no intent of being an outright plagiarist, but i would like to assemble something covering mellotrons, possibly, and with your permissions, compiling some of the various data out there. [ie: history/background, various models and their features, numbers made of each, that sort of thing...] thanks in advance for your considerations. jeff btw: thanks to jimmy moore and gino wong for offering to pitch in and help out with this. and of course to martin and company for the encouragement and advice.
