Mellotronists

Messing around this morning I was able to come quite close to the "strings"  
sound on "All of My Love" using the 3 violins, a touch of EQ and reverb. Looks 
 like we have come full circle with a Mellotron sounding like a synth or is 
it  the other way "around"
