It's a bit of a waste of time really. The early Birotron sounds WERE Melltron sounds. Biro recorded his own Pipe Organ (Wakeman at the controls) and his own choir at the VERY end of their time. The loops were made using to TEAC tape decks playing two identical tape loops UPSIDE DOWN and 180 degrees out of synch to avoid the loop point. Biro cross-faded between the two machines to produce his eight track masters. All of this is from Kean via the well worn phone line. He interviewed Biro at length in Jacksonville Fla in the early 90's. Facinating but SAD story. Seems that Biro's fate was tied directly to Wakeman's divorce...which left him momentarily strapped for cash...which left Dave Biro out in the cold. End of his glory years I guess.
