I just viewed a new DVD of an old PBS recording of Three Dog Night on PBS's Soundstage. It's really interesting because it features the three original singers with different backup players (except Jimmy Greenspoon on Hammond and piano.) Skip Konte is the other keyboard player who plays a lot of Chamberlin during the concert. And he is pretty good too (although his makeup is definitely "pre Kiss". He also plays B3 so when Greenspoon is playing piano (like on Celebrate), Konte plays the original B3 parts (which are great) and fills in with Chamberlin strings, horns, flutes, etc...) Although the sound is vintage 1975, the keyboards are blessingly way up front... On Family of Man they both play B3. Sounds great! To get this DVD go onto EBay and do a search for "Three Dog Night DVD". You will find it among the numerous new DVD (don't buy that one)...
