According to snopes.com, the urban legends web site, the story is not true. But so what? It's a great story and it's very inspirational. And Itzhak Perlman is certainly an inspirational musician. And assuming for the moment that the story is fiction, it is a testament to Perlman's character and accomplishments that he was chosen as the subject of the story. And underneath it all is the understanding that true artists often happily embrace limitations. -- Don -- Don Tillman Palo Alto, California don@... http://www.till.com
