Please read the following excerpt from Telharmonium history :

"Meanwhile, with the increased concert broadcasts,
technical problems began to surface. One was a steady
downward drift in the instrument's tuning. Another was
uneven volume, resulting in a sudden lowering of volume
when chords were played. There was also a cracking sound
that resulted from staccato notes. "

Doesn't this sound familiar  ??  Like  Mike Pinder's objections
during the MK-II days of VFO....... History repeats itself......
