Rick Blechta mused : To put Ray Thomas's lack of musical prowess (on the flute) into perspective, I play better than he does. I'm not a flute player by any stretch. As a matter of fact, my wife (who is a flute player of great talent and repute) told me recently that if I ever play her flute again, she will emasculate Martinge next time she sees him. She may do it anyway even if I don't because she's a redhead and they often do things like that. __________________________________________________________________ Greetings Rick et al, Al who ?? .......Anyway, I did see Ray play the harmonica at Stowe VT in 1993 as part of the Red Rocks tour. Isn't Hohner also out of biz ? .....Hmmmmm..... ___________________________________________________________________ When Ray Thomas told the press that he played DeFord flutes exclusively, they immediately ended production and declared bankruptcy. I hear that he is a great ballroom dancer, however... - Rick ________________________________________________________________ As mentioned, in 1993 Ray's performance with the MB and Vermont Symphony Orchestra was very nice. His rendition of "Timothy Leary" included some pretty decent falsettos. Come to think, I've seen some nice falsettos on cheerleaders too.....Ahem..... I'm a pretty darn good dancer too.....only in the snow. See Ken Leonard's JK Mellotronists Page. Cheers, --JK (no falsettos here . Taking orders for new Snovatrons....)
