Let's not forget the "Dangerous Maytag" produced by Mellotron-USA from 1981-1982 . Four units of Mellotron 4-Track were produced, though a recent conversation with Bob Kinney of Bomar indicates only three were made. That enterprise also officially owned the Mellotron name, purchased from Bill Eberline of Sound Sales...... A matter of timing. Precisely,Martin. I was lurking behind the scenes intensely at that same time frame 1988-1989. But due to finances,I was unable to make the move which Dave Kean commenced at that time. History cannot be undone or rewritten despite any attempts to do so. Streetly also had a look at a 4-Track model, relinquished by Dave Kean and made available to Robert Laughton of CAL. This MC was sold by RAL for an undisclosed amount to an Italian Mellotron collector. So I can unequivocably state that Streetly has indeed serviced EVERY model of EVERY source/vintage.....'Nuff said. .......JK..... MARK-I #124 (formerly of RAL), M300 #037 (formerly of DK), M400 #681 (purch. new 1973), and the JK-MK-6 #001 (http://www.kleonard.com/mellotron/philly0501/jkmk6.htm)
