Mark IV/400/VI

2002-07-21 by Aidan Clark

I thought that the Mellotron 400 and Mark IV were identical. I seem to remember Les Bradley telling me that they were one and the same. What's the difference? I haven't seen the article, but isn't the review about the new Mark VI instead? Aidan

There never was a Mk IV, they were all 300's. The Mark- designation always
applied to 2-manual trons (e.g., MkI, MkII, MkV) until DK broke the tradition
with the single manual MkVI (which should have been a 600).
