'ello,

Rick's comments on the sound at the Yes concert don't surprise one. Apart
from Steve Hackett(on all occasions), early KC gigs and two recent BJH
concerts , I have yet to hear a decent sounding stage rig. Despite the
garbage written about the amazing Turbo sound systems etc etc, there always
appears to be a twat on the desk who completely screws it for everyone. The
reason always seems to be an overdriven system with an appalling mid range
honk and an accompanying bass overhang that destroys the exquisite bits you
are always waiting for. The reason the Hackett, KC and BJH gigs sounded good
was the restraint in volume that allowed all parts to be heard. There, I've
said it. I'm back and fuelled by good English beer after two weeks of French
Froth.

Bye,

Martinge
