Sound on Sound M4000 article hits the streets!

Sound on Sound M4000 article hits the streets!

2007-09-19 by david etheridge

Hi folks,
I've just got my copy of the October Sound on Sound, and there in all
its glory is Gordon Reid's aticle. 8 pages, with loadsa detail and
quotes from Martin and John (cue genuflection in the direction of
Streetly electronics).
Overall a postive reaction, although Gordon hasn't gone as overboard
about the beastie as much as I have!

Never mind.

Dave.

An 8 page review is fairly overboard. We're happy!

I expect my copy of SoS is waiting on the doormat for me when I get
home from work...

8 pages is WAY bigger than ANY review I can think of recently,
surely?! That's not a review, that's an EVENT! lol

I imagine SoS editorial/review policy must insist that he temper the
review with the honest realism that frankly, spending several thousand
quid on a real mellotron is NOT actually gonna be the ideal purchase
for a lot of their readers, compared to what else they could do with
the money... which is probably fair enough -
Can't wait to get home and read this though! :)

Sound on Sound doesn't put it's current issue online - you gotta wait a month.
Basically Gordon Reid says it's "the only game in town" if you want a real mellotron that you can gig and have more than 3 sounds available.
