Definitely a fixer-upper! LOL!

Inside looks nice, but the outside is pretty garish!

My suggestion would be to strip it to the wood, repair
the dings and scratches, and then repaint it with several
coats of your favorite color (white, of course)... ;-)

Oh, come on! Metal-flake green, with orange flames
rising! :-)
BTW, nice knobs! And, do I observe a metal bracket in
the corner inside? Time to get out the glue & clamps!
 Have fun.

I still have a few rolls of 70's retro
wallpaper in a lovely shade of brown, beige
and gold!

That would look swell!

All kidding aside, I'm sure the old 'tron
will look pretty spiffy when Frank will be finished
with it. Enjoy it, you lucky bastard! ;-D

Why not ship it off to Crewe and have them put that Burr Walnut like the old Rolls Royces? Since a dashboard takes about a week, they should have it done in a couple of months. I'm sure it would only cost an arm and a leg.

Tomorrow I will get out the electric sand-O-matic XL 3000 and some paint
stripper and have at the cabinet. I've already yanked the guts out, so that's
where I think Ill start.

I'm thinking of covering the outside of the cabinet with a nice mustard
colored tufted velour.
