I realize that this is primarily a hardware-based group, but I would 
like to heartily recommend GForce's Virtual String Machine for any of 
the software users out there that are looking for that Solina/Elka/etc. 
sound.  I have had it for a week, and have played it extensively.  
Great sounds, and tons of 'em!

It's that good, huh? I've been considering buying it just for the 
Freeman String Symphonizer, but the samples on the GMedia website are 
terrible. Is there a downloadable demo?
