I haven't looked through all the messages here, but anybody remember Jimmy Waldo's fabulous Mellotron renditions on New England's first album? I was listening to the CD in my car the other day, sitting in a parking lot, and two guys came up and said "Wow, is that new? Cool dude." Told 'em it was 1979-1980 Time Frame. One guy said, wow, I wasn't born then. ;) Used to love listening to that on "mystery rides" on sundays.

Completely ludicrous, but lots of fun, and loads of 'Tron strings, although he's trying hard to make it sound like a string synth. The lengthy track on their second album is apparently the 'Explorer Suite' - I've been promised a tape of this, so I'll eventually be able to judge for myself. Andy T.
